 uo Xu (1956 Yunnan) is an irreverent self-taught artist known for his obsession with the female form, and legs in particular. The artist only began seriously creating art and sculptures in the 1990s, but he is well-known to collectors in Yunnan, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Pearl Lam has some of his objects in her Contrasts Gallery in Shanghai. And his works are also being shown in some hotels. His studio in Kunming is filled with shiny legs, bathtubs with legs dangling, legs with sox, fiberglass legs, hairs with female legs, etc. But he has also created other works poking fun at politicians and the elite.
